IT Outsourcing Becomes Uncertain Due To New Privacy Rules In China:
Filed in archive Supplier sourcing on January 11, 2012
The big privacy-laws in India and China can make data-processing outsourcing a hurdle. The Government wants to imply the following laws:
* The individuals / organizations who hold personal data must receive explicit consent to reveal that data to third parties.
* There are some restrictions for collection, processing and maintenance of the personal information.
* The personal data cannot be exported unless specifically allowed by the law or the Government authorities.
These restrictions could forbid outsourcers from the transfer of data received from any company. Yet the timings of implementation and enforcement have not been announced.
These privacy rules will be soon implemented in China which will affect the outsourcing industry.
This new rule leaves the outsourcing companies of China in a perplexed state.
